Simple Sharpening.
Even some of the most high quality pictures can be further enhanced and sharpened. This is a very simple tutorial on how to sharpen. There are other methods, of course, but this is pratically the simplest way.

We'll be using this lovely picture of Emma Watson at the 2006 Empire Awards.

1. Go to Filter >> Sharpen >> Sharpen. Repeat a second time. (Yes, very obvious, but bear with me here.)

2. Right click on the image, and click on 'Duplicate Layer'.

3. Press Shift + Ctrl + U on your keyboard. You should have something that looks like this.

4. On the 'Layers' window, click on the drop-down menu that says 'Normal', and select 'Overlay'. Instantly, your result should look like this.

She may look a bit pale, but as you can see, the image looks a lot sharper than the one before. It's very short, I know, but it's pretty effective. Remember, for smaller images, don't press Sharpen too often, or the result will be over-sharpening...which isn't quite that nice.
