Making PSDs.
Since Max requested this tutorial, I'm going to write it for him. =p Hope you're happy, Max!
The image I'm going to use is of Alexis Bledel, which you can view here. I'm going to be cropping it at it's actual size. 1. Select the Pen Tool, ![]() 2. Pick a point on the picture to start from. For example, I will be starting at the top of Alexis's hair. When cutting, I always like to magnify my picture for more precision; this means it'll take longer for me to cut, but at least it doesn't look as messy. 3. Start clicking around the picture to cut it out. If you make a mistake, don't worry, just right click and select 'Delete Anchor Point'. Hold your cursor down to make a curve.

![]() 5. You can now cut the image out and paste it onto another document with a transparent background, or you can select the marquee tool, 6. This step isn't necessary, but will check if the PSD works properly. Create a new layer underneath your PSD, and fill it in with black. If you see any edges that shouldn't be there, you can erase them. Repeat this step again but fill the new layer with white, and check again. You can also do this for a variety of colours. Finished? I am. Click here for my final result. { Backward. }
