Freebies.
No, no, this does not mean icons or anything like that! I have compiled a list of websites that offer services for free, rather than forcing you to hand over your credit card number. These are the ones I've used; I also list ones I haven't used but other people have recommended to me.

Freeservers.
1. Freewebs
Space Offered: 50 MB
Bandwidth: 500 MB/month
Rating: 7/10
Comments: I wanted Freewebs as my host for my first fansite, and then quickly got very pissed off because I could only upload one file at a time, with a maximum of 50 files. True, you don't ads or pop-ups, but you still have to copy and paste a code onto your website. It also doesn't allow PHP.

2. Geocities
Space Offered: 15 MB
Bandwidth: 3 GB/month
Rating: 8/10
Comments: I liked Geocities much better than Freewebs; it allowed you to upload 20 files at a time, had only one pop-up and an ad at the side which did not disturb or distort my layout at all. The space is a bit small, but then again, you don't need that much space unless you're running a huge celebrity fansite or something. Isn't PHP-enabled.

3. Deluxe Host
Space Offered: 100 MB
Bandwidth: 300 GB
Rating: 9/10
Comments: Based on looking around, I'd say that Deluxe Host is the best freeserver on the web. It offers tons of space, lots of bandwith, enables PHP and MySQL, and has no ads at all! It offers more space than some domains out there. It has a bit of a lengthy sign-up process though, compared to FreeWebs and GeoCities.

Other Freeservers: Freeservers.com

Image Hosts.
1. Photobucket
Space Offered: 1 GB
Bandwidth: 10 GB
Rating: 8/10
Comments: A pretty good image host overall; it offers lots of space, and has recently allowed video clips to be uploaded! The only problem with Photobucket is that it resizes images that are over 1 MB (you can still upload them though), so sometimes your wallpapers might appear a lot smaller than they were supposed to be...

2. ImageShack
Space Offered: --
Bandwidth: --
Rating: 8/10
Comments: ImageShack is very convenient; you don't even need to sign up to get your image hosted! It also has a size/resolution bar underneath your image thumbnail. The thing is, however, like Photobucket, it won't allow you to upload files over 1.5 MB.

Other Image Hosts: ImageVenue

URL Redirections.
1. .Co.Nr
Rating: 9/10
Comments: It's adless, it's free, and it's reliable - what more can I say? You do have to link them in return, though.

2. 2ya.com
Rating: 8/10
Comments: An okay URL redirection; I don't like the fact that they place this skinny little bar at the end of the page, even though it's skinny.

Commenting Scripts.
1. Haloscan
Rating: 8/10
Comments: Easy and quick to use, customizable, remembers you, etc. It doesn't work on old computers though; some pop-up blockers also don't allow it.

2. CuteNews
Rating: 8/10
Comments: Slightly tricky to install (you have to CHMOD it and there's this whole setup process) but nonetheless convenient. It's easy to use, but you'll probably be a victim of gigantic amounts of spam sooner or later.

Other Scripts: WordPress

Forms.
1. Freedback
Rating: 7/10
Comments: I use Freedback for all of my forms; it's pretty easy to use, and reliable. The dumbest thing is that you can only make one form per account, unless you're like me and signed up before they went cheap and can modify existing forms. You can, of course, create multiple e-mails to make multiple forms.

2. Response-O-Matic
Rating: 6/10
Comments: I used it for a month and then switched to Freedback - because it only gives you a month-long trial! It's basically the same as Freedback, except on your 30-day trial, you get the Auto-Responder feature, which Freedback doesn't offer. It also has a less annoying page you are directed to when you submit a form.

3. aMAILzing
Rating: 9/10
Comments: Simply what it is - amazing! You have to download and upload a few things, but other than that it's a great script.
